Sergio has a Bachelor of Architecture from the Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon, Mexico.
Prior to formation of SDS, Inc in 1996 Sergio spent 12 years with HKS, Inc. He also served as Vice President and Director of Latin America Services for Aguirre Inc. Dallas, Texas.
In addition to the marketing efforts of the firm Sergio has been involved with the construction documents development for several projects, including the American Airlines Center and the Victory Plaza projects as well as working together with multinational architectural teams for the world’s largest project City Center of MGM Mirage in Las Vegas, Nevada, and a soccer stadium for the Santos Laguna team in Mexico.
Sergio was personally involved as a member of the Program Management Team of 2002 DISD Bond Program, assisting Austin Commercial as a D/MBE Architectural Design Review Consultant and Project Manager.
As the leader of SDS Architecture, Sergio is currently overseeing several school projects being developed in our office by our staff Architects including the 2008 DISD Bond Program and the 2007 FISD Capital Improvement Program.
Sergio’s unique ability to delegate his team makes SDS a successful path.
Martina De Los Santos, VicePresident
Martina acquired her Master's Degree in Construction Economics and Management in Bulgaria, Europe. She has been involved in the management and marketing roles of commercial, hospitality and educational projects including: 2002 & 2008 Dallas Independent School Bond Programs, Forth worth Independent school Capital Improvement Program and the 2004 Dallas County Community College Bond Program.
She was also the Construction Manager for the design build project of the office building of the Ardila Project. She currently manages the daily operations of the SDS Architectural office.
Gary Bengtson, AIA, Principal
Gary Bengtson, Principal with SDS Architecture has had a ten year professional affiliation with the company
Gary is a registered architect in five states including Texas and holds National Council of Architectural Registration Boards Certificate.
He has over 30 years of architectural experience. He spent 16 years at Ellerbe Becket and was a Senior Project Manager / Director on several large and complex projects in the areas of Health Care, Public Assembly, Government, Hospitality, and Corporate Development.
During the last four years with the company Gary was the Vice President and Director of Health Care Marketing. In this position, he was responsible for establishing annual marketing plans including marketing budgets and goals. Achieved fees sold of $62,529,700 and successfully managed marketing budgets of $3,200,000. He was also responsible for the overall operations of the 150 person, multi-discipline health care group.
Masoud Monfared, Project Designer
Masoud acquired his Masters in Science from the University of Stuttgart Germany and holds a current architectural license in Netherlands.
Formerly with HKS & A&L Engineering both prestigious architectural firms in Dallas, Masoud has ample expertise in various sectors on projects including hospitality, educational and government facilities. In addition to being well versed in a variety of project types, he is knowledgeable in project cost, schedule requirements and constructability issues.
Masoud’s experience with Autocad and Revit enables SDS Architecture to submit precise and commendable Construction Documents to their clients.
Aman Sandhu, Project Designer
Aman holds a Bachelors Degree in Architecture from Guru Nanak Dev University, India. She has worked on design of campuses such as National Institute of Pharmaceutical Engineering and Research.
Aman’s current experience includes: The adaptive remodel of North Lake College in Dallas as well as both the Dallas Independent School District Bond Programs and the Fort worth Independent School District School Renovations, MGM City Center project in Las Vegas Nevada and Santos Laguna Soccer Stadium in Mexico both projects in Association with HKS Inc. Currently she is the Architectural Project Manager for our latest project: Upgrades to Greyhound Dallas Terminal Renovations
Her ability and enormous talent of being able to deal with complex details and all aspects of the architectural process make her an asset to the SDS Architectural Team.
